This shot was taken from the Artist Colony of Montmarte above the city of Paris. I took several of these shots and found the relationship of the Eiffel Tower in that background and the metal pipes, antenna etc on the foreground buildings very interesting.

I love reflections in still water, and I was surprised to find some of those same qualities in this stretch of the Merced River in Yosemite Valley.

This was taken in 1976 through the windshield of my car on a drive to the Seattle area. It is probably just a paper mill, but it has such a mysterious look that I have always loved its overall vibe.

Staircase Study 2

I am intrigued by stairs, staircase, steps - any of those manufactured repeating altitude changers that convey us from one level to the next. They lend themselves to interesting lighting and tonality. This is actually the backside of a staircase in the Barcelona Museum of Art.
